On January 18, 2021 Bundled Smiles hosted a winter clothing drive in conjunction with the President Biden Inauguration Committee to honor MLK Jr.

During the 2021 Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service, the Bundled Smiles team partnered with the Presidential Inauguration Committee to encourage Maryland civilians to pursue acts of kindness to honor and remember the legacy of MLK Jr. and his contributions to the American society. By advertising our event, phone banking, and positing flyers, the Bundled Smiles team collected over 150 winter coats and jackets for distribution to the homeless.

"... I just want to say how inspired I am by your work with Bundled Smiles. You are doing incredible work and clearly know how to do amazing, deeply impactful community service." -Annika Reno, Maryland Regional Service Lead
After sorting and cleaning all of the coats and jackets, one week later, the team distributed the coats and jackets to a homeless cluster in Takoma Park just in time- right before a winter storm!

Everyone was so happy to receive a coat and thanked the Bundled Smiles team and Maryland civilians for donating their gently used coats!
Thank you so much to everyone who came out :)
