On January 20, 2021 the Bundled Smiles team created over 100 care packages filled with hygienic necessities for distribution to local homeless shelters and regional clusters.
After collecting over $1,800 through a Gofundme page, Bundled Smiles Founder Melina Oseguera then went on to order bulk amounts of face masks, toothbrushes, facial razors, deodorant, feminine products, hand sanitizer, toothpaste, socks, hats and gloves, underwear, and drawstring bags to begin assembling the care packages for the homeless.
By utilizing an organized process, Melina and the Bundled Smiles team ensured that each care package had contents for both female and male homeless individuals; including feminine products (pads, deodorant, female undergarments, etc.) and male products. Additionally, different sizes of undergarments and socks were purchased to ensure that each individual who received a package would actually be able to use everything in the most equitable way.

To add a sweet touch, each bag included a pack of candy and a small card/note to help uplift the receiver. Many of the cards were created by ambassadors in the Baltimore region who are part of the non-profit organization- Cards for Courage- who create cards for other local initiatives!

By the end of the day, the Bundled Smiles was able to assemble over 100 care packages. Keep a look out for when we distribute them to homeless individuals in the area!
